Here is the link to a memorial web page I put together after my mother's death in 2007:

This blog was started with the intent of just posting family pictures. So that explains the blog's title. It has come to be so much more to me. It contains pictures of family events. It is not just a Langin branch but the whole tree including my family of Leonard, Freeman, Washburn, Wilbur, Dyson, Nylander and more. [The photo above shows JJ Langin's logging camp on the North Branch of the Pine River north of Riverdale, Michigan c. 1888.]

Welcome Joe Leeak to the Langin Family
I am very excited to present to my Langin Branch of the Tree Joe Leeak who lives in Seattle,Washington. He is my 3rd cousin on my Langin side. We have been emailing for over a year and were 99.9% sure he was from our Langin branch of the Riverdale, Michigan area. Now we have that .1% solved. The final proof was a view of the 1900 Michigan census. Also, Joe has a copy of a draft card, a copy of the death certificate and online marriage records from the Latter Day Saints Genealogy website. The link is his grandfather Charles Edwin Langin who is the brother of Asa Wilmont Langin,Jarvis Samuel,Cora,Laura,Josephine,Edwin James,Bertha Eliza,Beatrice and Baby Langin. Their parents are Adolphus James (JJ) Langin and Anna Ramsey Langin. YES! ANOTHER CHARLES EDWIN!!! Not the same as Edwin James who married Dorothy.
Back to Joe's family, his parents were Don Leeak and Marjorie Langin Leeak. Her father was Linwood Earl Langin Born Riverdale, Michigan Nov 19,1897, Died Ann Arbor,Mi June 2,1963,residence was Lansing,Michigan with Clara Wickline Langin. The 1900 Michigan Census has Charles Edwin living with his wife Leona Margaret Miner and Charles' sister Cora Langin! Our Cora who married Garnet Peterson, they moved to San Antonio,Texas. That was my exciting find! The actual written document that finally made the connection!

VETERANS OF OUR FAMILY'S
Veteran's Day Nov 11, 2010
There was lots of discussion on Facebook within our Langin/Leonard/Freeman family on who in our family was a veteran. Shared were what branch of the military, where they served, pictures Chuck Langin Jr (Marine) posted. I will try to post some soon.
