This blog was started with the intent of just posting family pictures. So that explains the blog's title. It has come to be so much more to me. It contains pictures of family events. It is not just a Langin branch but the whole tree including my family of Leonard, Freeman, Washburn, Wilbur, Dyson, Nylander and more. [The photo above shows JJ Langin's logging camp on the North Branch of the Pine River north of Riverdale, Michigan c. 1888.]

Geri's party was on monday, 4-2, but her actual birthday was on Friday, March 30 and that is the day we started arriving at the Langin House for the weekend. Chuck and I(Linda) came on Fri. in our small RV which we parked in the alley behind their house. We used it for the secret "going's on" that took place before the party. We brought the big cake with us that was made with Geri's mother, Ora's, quilt blocks on it in frosting. We also picked as many spring flowers as we could find in Jackson,MO and tried to take them to her in the RV "fridge". The cake made it, most of the flowers didn't. :-) On Sat., Rich and Peggy arrived with Janelle and Brian, their grown kids, and Karen & Jeff Shook (our daughter) and their 4 little ones came. Even though they made the Bell Tower Inn their headquarters, things began to liven up at the Langins' after that! Sunday morning was Palm Sunday church. Then Christy and Matt McKay(our other daughter) and their 3 little ones got there and then the biggest surprise of all. Sonja came from MI and she brought Tina McConnell with her! It was a last minute decision and they fooled all of us! Things got just plain crazy after that! Ralph Leonard and his family stopped by for awhile to welcome the whole bunch.
